This homeowner wanted to expand their kitchen and redo their powder room at the same time. The existing soffit was taken down and the wall next the existing fridge was taken down as well. With the soffit gone the stacked cabinets could be built right up to the ceiling and a large detailed crown closed off the gap. This homeowner decided to do something different with the top of their stacks and do cut for glass with mullions. Gives a great feature and still hides whats inside the cabinet. The detailed cabinets replaced the no detail born doors and in turn made the room feel more open and spacious. Build in pantries were built to frame the microwave and a drop zone was created between them to store items on the counter as well as leave keys and such. The powder room was really crammed because of the washer and dryer. With those gone the powder room could become narrower for the kitchen to expand. With a narrower bathroom a pedestal sink was the perfect idea to save space and not over crowd.
