Two Tiered Island-Project 651

This extremely large kitchen was created for entertainment and to allow multiple daily activities to function. The best part about this kitchen is the two-tiered island that allows for someone to sit and eat while another person can be cooking or cleaning. The long island creates comfortable seating as well as comfortable standing height were the stools to be taken away. It is also a great place to put out food and beverages for parties and keeping it off the work zone. A small bar area and drop zone were added next to the fridge which was a perfect spot because of the low window above. By framing the window with the fridge and pantry cabinet a balance is created on the small wall. Since this kitchen is very broken up a layout needed to be figured out on how to design the kitchen in a functional way.
