The owners of this 100+ year old home wanted to re-do their bathroom keeping with the retro classic time period that is the nature of the home. Working around the existing tub and pedestal, more storage was needed in the bathroom to house necessary items. The added vanity pieces created a warmth to the space to help balance out the white tile. While keeping with the the retro classic look, we decided to add in some modern twists creating a fun look. The accent tile around the room, and vertical stripe through the niche in the tub adds for an amazing twist of color and texture while also breaking up the white tile. The intricate floor tile design helps to break up the pattern and bring a darker element onto the floor. The plumbing in oil-rubbed bronze accents the white tile beautifully, and acts as an art piece. We truly enjoyed remodeling this bathroom because we were able to create a space unique to the homeowner while still designing true to the home.
