This very small kitchen cut itself off from the rest of the home and was not functional for the life of the family. We took out the wrap around counter and cabinets and extended the window run towards the living room. With appliances staying in the original location, cabinets were designed around the remaining existing layout. A larger window was added for more natural light to shine into the kitchen. The simple white backsplash was chosen for pattern and easy to clean walls without taking away from the cabinetry. Large pantry cabinets were added onto the other wall where the cabinet run was displaced from the rest of the kitchen. An accent island was added into the kitchen for eat-in dining and to cover more of the original floor plan. Hidden secrets were added into the cabinets for cutlery divider, knife holder, and serving utensil divider. New hardwood flooring was installed for a finish look and new paint colors were selected to fit with the kitchen selections.
