Out dated wallpaper, not enough work space, and an old dingy floor are just a few of the reason's this old kitchen had to go! Starting over from scratch allowed us to place items in better locations to add more storage as well as more counter space for prepping. Moving the range to the other wall and centering it was the perfect way to put drop zone's on either side. Drop zones are great to land hot items from the oven as well as prep the ingredients as you cook. A beautiful framed accent piece was added behind the range to create as eye catching pop as well as bridge the gap between the hood and range. Moving the fridge to where the range originally was, made a perfect spot to put large pantries for those items that seem to overflow. Also a great way to make putting groceries away extra easy. Since we did not move the windows, the sink was centered right back to the spot it was before. With some small maneuvering we created space for a peninsula to be added for those early morning family breakfasts before work. White cabinets helped to freshen up the room while making the space feel lighter then before. New hardwood flooring was added to give that sandy beach feel the homeowners wanted to bring in. Glass backsplash tile that is lighted up by undercabinet lighting was the perfect touch of color that really draws everyone in to see.
