2966 - Ebony Vineyard

The existing floor plan of this first floor was not up to standards for these new homeowners. Working with local design firm Stage and Design, we put our heads together to create a kitchen that would fit the needs of the new family. Walls were knocked down to create a more open floor plan, while allowing easy access from all sides.

With entry ways to many different rooms, and an odd shaped island the existing layout had lots of unused space and far too many doors. Taking out the sliding door allowed for more usable wall space for the range and created more wall space for the hutch area to showcase beautiful items.

Adding a larger window allowed for the sink to be centered in the space while letting more natural light into the space. Backsplash tile behind the cooktop and bar area is a great way to coordinate the space, and keeps the far away bar fridge from drifting off on its own. The better shaped island is great for entertaining as well as a spot for the family to eat-in and to have more storage space. The accent on island is the perfect amount of contrast to really ground the space.
