Hint of Mocha-Project 255

This large open concept space had plenty of room to add a kitchen of the homeowners dream! To address the high ceiling height in the space, the wall cabinets were given different heights to add a playful detail to help fill some of the leftover height. A pantry and built in cabinet were added onto the end of the run to balance out the heaviness of the refrigerator across the room. An accent island was given two tiers for the homeowner to be able to work while people are sitting around and conversing. This allows the homeowner to be able to communicate with the rest of the guests without them being in their way. Large window help bring lots of natural light into the room and brighten up the kitchen. Drawers were added as the base of the cooktop so items used on a daily basis could be accessed easily and be readily available. It is also a great place to store your deep pots and pans that won't fit in a standard size cabinet. Pendant lights are a great final touch for task lighting over the island as well as a design feature to bring in some different texture. Built-in appliances allow for more appliances to be added into a design that has limited space. They can be stacked together and take up the same amount of wall space as a standard cabinet. To allow all the appliances the homeowner wanted while keeping a good amount of wall cabinets and base cabinets, built-ins were used to hold the appliances together and to take up less space.
