To expand the size of the kitchen the wall was knocked down and the kitchen was expanded to fill that space. Some Appliances were kept in the same locations so plumbing would not have to be moved and the cost would be kept down. This gave us guidelines as to what we could achieve in this space. By knocking out the wall we were able to add more cabinets and make for a longer run on the range wall. A peninsula was added for more storage as well as eat-in dining area. The visual wall created by the peninsula divides the two spaces but keeps for an open concept look making the space feel wider. Cut for glass doors above the sink is a great way to show off family items and create a focal point among the painted white cabinets. Running bond tile adds movement and fun pattern, and the color white helps to keep the kitchen blended.
