4643 - Live Edge Hex

The existing kitchen was not only dark in color, but also in available natural light. Additionally, it required going down a hallway to enter the space. Design 1 removed the wall separating the kitchen and dining room, to create a large spacious entertaining space filled with natural light. By taking down the wall, we were able to incorporate a peninsula of cabinetry and additional seating. To allow for more prep space on the counters, we designed a corner sink flanked by two new windows. The existing wood floor was finished, and a new large scale hex tile was installed in the kitchen area, organically meeting the wood.
