Contemporary Condo-Project 1116

The original galley kitchen was completely closed off from the rest of the space, making it awkward to entertain. It afforded space for only one cook and cut her off from her guests. As a result, it did not suit the new homeowner’s bubbly personality or lifestyle.

Design 1 replaced a full wall with a breakfast bar and relocated appliances to open up the kitchen to the living room and create better flow. By eliminating the cramped eat-in area, Design 1 was able to incorporate a bar refrigerator and glass cabinets for glassware storage. Now guests are able to fix themselves a cocktail, and assemble around the breakfast bar, while the homeowner preps a meal.
